I never turn down the opportunity to travel to Europe, and I have been fortunate to have had a number of residencies and exhibitions there, many of which were coupled with teaching opportunities and slide lectures at local schools or arts organizations. My wife and I prefer to travel with SERVAS, a traveler/host organization founded to promote peace and communication between people of different cultures. In this way we get to meet many interesting and wonderful people, and to experience the country we are visiting in a more immediate way.
